Patient Feedback

Ian Hook

My name is Ian Hook & I consider myself very fortunate to still be alive. To try to fix an
ongoing problem with my right leg, I decided to go private & self-pay for a further
consultation, involving an MRI scan which I felt was necessay. I got a next day appointment
on Thursday, March 7, with Professor Ali Ghoz &, while in his office, I was violently sick
which led to Professor Ghoz admitting me to Intensive Care where it was discovered that my
kidneys & diabetes were out of control & I nearly died. If I had been anywhere else, it’s scary
to think what might have happened!
I spent a bit over a week in your hospital & the care & help I received was something to
savour. EVERYBODY I came into contact with, from senior doctors to nursing staff to
catering & pharmacy staff to the maintenance guys & my dietary & diabetes advisors, were
fabulous & I shall forever be in their debt. I could name people here but prefer to lump
everyone in together as they all played their parts in getting me back from a very dire
situation.
I would very much appreciate it if you can please pass on my eternal thanks to every
department in your wonderful hospital.

Anom

Hello all,
First, I want to express my sincere gratitude to you all and the firm for your support over
the past two years. As I mentioned before, my two-year review has confirmed that I am
currently pretty much in remission – my PET scan shows no markers compared to 2
years ago. One of the consultants reviewing joked, are the scan for two different
people?

Dear Prof Ghoz,
I trust this email meets you well. Both my email to my superiors at work below and the
attached will update you on the good news regarding my PC progress. You are one of
my guardian angels in diagnosing me and referring me to an excellent team. God bless
you and your family. Josef

From my first consultation with Professor Ali Ghoz at the Cromwell Hospital, I felt I was in the right hand. He was very professional and empathetic. He made my journey easy though I had a complex knee replacement surgery. It was a record time recovery and I was back on my feet because of hime and his teams support and follow ups. I give a five star rating and recommend him to anyone interested in orthopaedic surgery.

John Copeland

I recently had an Anterior Hip Replacement performed by Professor Ghoz. The pre and post operative ssurance, care and treatment by Professor Ghoz was so professional. The operation was really successful, only 2 nights in hospital, hardly any post operative pain and I was able to walkaround the house without crutches or sticks after just 5 days After only 5 weeks it was possible to resume normal activities including longer walks and golf. A huge thank you to Professor Ghoz, a remarkable surgeon

Patient

Dear Mr Ghoz, I would like to express my appreciation to you for operating on my left hip. I can already feel the difference and am slowly getting my life back to normal. In the mean time, I will keep doing my exercises as advised by you.

Patient

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the excellent results of the revision hip operation you carried out for me on 18th June.

Patient

Dear Mr Ghoz, Now that I am on my two feet and walking cautiously it is time for me to thank you and your surgical team for the successful repair to my seriously fractured ankle. Thanks to your thorough follow-up procedure I am finding the physiotherapy sessions most beneficial.

Patient

Late Last year my prosthetic knee dislocated and chipped my Femur. I was admitted to hospital as an emergency and was told that I required an operation to correct the problem otherwise I would probably not walk again. The operation that was required was complicated and involved major reconstruction of the existing prosthetic knee thus saving the leg from amputation. I understand this was a ground breaking operation for Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon and was performed by Mr Ali Ghoz of the orthopaedic Department. I am now well and truly recovering.

Patient

Dear Mr Ghoz, Thank you very much for caring for me – I am most appreciative.

Patient

I had surgery (Knee arthroscopy) on Feb 22nd and I am recovering well. I was really happy that Mr Ghoz treated me very well before and after the surgery. It was great time to meet him for my knee issues through BUPA

Patient

Today’s experience was professional and competent at all stages, from Reception, X-Ray, Administration and of course the Consultant Surgeon. My only suggestion us to keep it up

Barbara Hawe

I can not thank all the staff enough. I missed Sally today in the old Manor house on the 1st floor reception but bless her she left me a message to say hi. Mr Ali Ghoz is a top man surgeon and always makes me feel like a special lady. Its been along journey for me after 2 new hip replacements and now planning a keyhole surgery on my knee so feel so at home down there and I know all the staff personally. Thank you every one for the tip top hospitality I have always received. What a great hospital and a great team. Many thanks to you all. Xxx

Monica Hills

Many thanks to all at Dunedin Spire for your excellent care, with special thanks to Mr Ghoz (Surgeon extraordinaire).

Danny Blake

Thank you for everything you have done for me.

Well, I’m 6 months out and as you predicted I am back to where I was before my accident, I can’t feel any difference in my knees anymore.

I’m racing again and in fact, at the moment I’m the fastest 40-year-old over a statute mile!
Once again thank you for everything you have done for me.
