Professor Ghoz attended the BOA Annual Congress 2024 which was held from September 17-20, 2024, at the ICC in Birmingham, focusing on the theme “Recruit, Sustain, Retain: The T&O Workforce.” This flagship event invites healthcare professionals from the UK and abroad to submit abstracts on orthopaedic topics for evaluation by experts.

The British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), founded in 1918, is the leading Surgical Specialty Association for Trauma and Orthopaedics in the UK, with over 5,000 members. It focuses on patient care and surgeon support through excellence in practice, training, education, and research. The BOA operates a benevolent fund, promotes research, and advocates for increased surgical capacity to address the growing burden of musculoskeletal diseases. Its vision is to create a sustainable orthopaedic community that provides high-quality care and influences healthcare reforms to ensure accessible services. Through focused advocacy, it collaborates with partners like the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance (ARMA) to advance orthopaedic surgery for public benefit.
