About me, Professor Ali Ghoz

Whatever your issue is, I understand that all patients have different needs and I believe strongly in personalised care for all.
I work closely with physios and other clinicians to ensure end-to-end care if you are going through surgery, and I'm able to see people at short notice.
I'm an Honorary Professor of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, specialising in minimally invasive hip and knee surgery. I have a specialist interest in complex hip and knee surgery with an emphasis on computer-guided surgery.

Education and Training
I completed my basic surgical training at the Yorkshire School of Surgery, progressing to a National Training Number for Specialist Registrar training at the Yorkshire Deanery.
I obtained the Specialist Fellowship FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2011 from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
In 2013, I completed a Fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstructive surgery at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. In 2014, I completed the Australian Orthopaedic Association accredited Adult Hip/Knee Arthroplasty, Knee Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Mater/Prince of Wales Hospitals, Sydney.
I hold a Master of Science degree from Oxford University specialising in Musculoskeletal Sciences.
I'm a Visiting Professor in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University Hospital of Moldova.
I've published numerous peer-reviewed research papers in the field of hip and knee surgery.
I am regularly invited to speak about his specialist interests internationally and has presented his work at numerous national and international meetings.
I have global surgical experience including work in Australia, Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In addition to my commitments in the UK, I continue to provide regular expert surgical work in the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
I'm also an Honorary Professor and Head of International Affairs for Deraya University in Egypt.
I regularly volunteer at the Chişinău Emergency University Hospital, Moldova.
More recently his charity work includes operating on military personnel.
I'm an examiner at the Miller Oxford Review course and also an instructor on Smith and Nephew hip and knee instructional courses, levels 1, 2 and 3.
